The Saskatchewan Volunteer Firefighters Association is proud to be your link to training courses and materials. Through our associations with the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA), Saskatchewan Fire Service Instructors Group (SFSIG) and Target Safety you get access to training and educational materials for the fire service and related areas. You can reach professional instruction and materials in areas such as risk management and loss prevention and firefighter safety. Through these resources training becomes more affordable and available to all fire fighters within the province.

GRAIN ENTRAPMENT
Here is the link for the CASA Grain Entrapment online training for firefighters. It is the prerequisite for taking the Grain Entrapment practical but can be done by anyone interested for FREE! Upon completion a certificate can be printed off.

INCIDENT COMMAND SYSTEMS (ICS) 100
Here you'll find the ICS 100 workbook and exam. Simply print off or save onto your computer, complete the self study/open book exam and scan/email to emfstraining@gov.sk.ca.
The certificate will be mailed when grading is recorded by ICS Canada.

Kamsack Fire Dept is Hosting a Haz Mat Training Event!

The course is Pro Board accredited for Awareness & 1072 Core Operations with Mission Specific PPE & Product control. The professional qualifications under NFPA 472 are now in NFPA 1072 this is what is required for 1001. Anyone that does take it will be certified, the testing will be done here in Kamsack. This is a free event, hope to see you and your team there.
